About the Four Environmental Policies Based on the Sustainability Strategy
FC Tokyo is promoting environmental initiatives as an important theme in club management to realize the club’s social statement, "Goals that connect to the future of our lives."

On Thursday, February 5, 2026, we announced the "Sustainability Strategy." Under this strategy, FC Tokyo will participate in the international framework "Sport Positive Leagues (SPL)," in which professional sports organizations quantify their sustainability efforts and climate actions to aim for reducing environmental impact.
And now, as we move the sustainability strategy into concrete actions, we have established four environmental policies. FC Tokyo organizes the directions set forth in the sustainability strategy into the following four policies, taking into account the SPL framework, and will work together with our hometown Tokyo to create a sustainable future.

What is Sport Positive Leagues (SPL)?
Sport Positive Leagues (SPL) is an international initiative that visualizes soccer clubs' environmental sustainability efforts across 12 key areas, clearly showing progress and the directions to aim for. The J League is the first in Asia to participate, and the clubs' efforts are organized and evaluated from multiple perspectives such as energy, renewable energy, transportation, waste, procurement, and education.
SPORT POSITIVE LEAGUES (SPL): J.League Climate Action
Four Environmental Policies
1. Climate Positive

Climate Positive Policy
We aim for a climate-positive society by uniting club management, challenges to new business models, fans, supporters, partners, local governments, and the community.
Transportation Guideline
We aim to realize transportation suitable for a climate-positive society.
The movement of club staff and teams is basically based on low-carbon transportation such as public transportation and team buses.
・We create an environment where fans and supporters choose low-carbon transportation such as public transit to attend matches.
・We support the decarbonization efforts of transportation operators that facilitate access to the stadium.
2. 100% Resource Circulation

100% Resource Circulation Policy CIRCULAR DESIGN POLICY
We prioritize waste reduction regarding resources (raw materials, water, etc.) used and waste generated in our business activities, and promote reuse and recycling to circulate the value of resources as much as possible. To achieve this, we aim to realize a 100% resource circulation society by collaborating with stakeholders such as fans and supporters, partners, local governments, communities, business partners, and waste disposal companies.
No Single Use Plastic Guideline
In accordance with the Circular Design Policy, we strive to reduce single-use plastics. The scope covers single-use plastics directly involved in and manageable within our business activities.
3. Nature Positive

Nature Positive Policy
A match environment that enhances the health and safety of players, fans, supporters, and club staff, as well as the quality of the competition.
Behind the continuation of FC Tokyo’s activities in daily life are clean air and water, the blessings of the four seasons, and the urban nature where living creatures thrive. To connect the lives of our hometown Tokyo to the future, we act based on the concept of Nature Positive, aiming for a city where people and nature coexist.
Water Circulation Guideline WATER STEWARDSHIP GUIDELINE
Drinking water that supports the health of players and fans/supporters, the turf where players perform, and the infrastructure that supports daily life are all sustained by the water cycle. We collaborate to maintain the soundness* of the water cycle and enhance its resilience.
*Healthy water cycle: A state where the use of water and land is consistent with the natural rates of regeneration, infiltration, and storage.
4. Sustainable Procurement

Sustainable Procurement Policy SUPPLY CHAIN POLICY
Based on our "Sustainability Strategy," we will continue to stably provide match environments and services that fans and supporters can enjoy with peace of mind, together with our business partners.
Ensuring Quality, Safety, and Stable Supply
We verify the specifications and supply systems of procured items and establish mechanisms to provide them stably.
Consideration for Environment, Human Rights, and Labor
We identify risks related to the environment, human rights, and labor concerning procured items and business partners, and work on improvements as needed.
Thorough Fair and Transparent Transactions
We enhance the transparency of transaction terms and selection processes to conduct fair and sincere transactions.
Dialogue and Collaboration with Business Partners
Through dialogue with our business partners, we share challenges and ideas, promote improvements through collaboration, and deliver the results to our fans and supporters in the form of reassurance.
* The "Sustainable Procurement Policy" applies not only to goods sold or used at match venues but also to all procurement related to our business activities, including promotional novelties, office supplies, and outsourcing.
Sustainability Strategy Promotion Members
In concretizing the sustainability strategy, we will work with the general incorporated association SWiTCH to build and promote sustainability strategy activities. We also leverage the expertise of Takuya TSUKAMOTO, Associate Professor in the Department of Sports Management, Faculty of Sports Science at Chukyo University, who conducts research on sustainability management and social impact assessment in professional sports clubs.
As FC Tokyo, we will clearly identify what we are able to do and what we are not, continue to make ongoing improvements, and connect these efforts to concrete actions.
