- Born in Chofu City, Tokyo. During his playing career, he was active with Nissan Motor Soccer Club/Yokohama Marinos. Starting from the 2002 season, he began his coaching career at his former club Yokohama F.Marinos Academy, serving as youth manager and top team coach, then held coaching and managerial positions at Albirex Niigata. From the 2025 season, he leads the team as the manager of FC Tokyo.
