The annual Vermont activities, which started with the kickoff online meeting on October 5, 2024, concluded for this fiscal year on July 20, 2025.
These Vermont activities are for FC Tokyo futsal school students only (including directly managed and dispatched schools) to participate in official matches hosted by the Japan Football Association, wearing the FC Tokyo emblem.
As for the activities, training sessions were held at FC Tokyo Park Fuchu basically every Sunday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for 3rd to 5th grade elementary school students, and practice matches were also held at a pace of 1 to 2 times per month.
Before each practice, a meeting is held to share the objectives for that day's training, and then the practice takes place.
Then, in the middle of the week, we shared video footage of corrections from the practice to foster team cohesion.
During long holidays, we went on trips and interacted with teams participating in national tournaments.
Also, during spring break, we held a 2-day, 1-night training camp in Yamanashi Prefecture, sharing meals and lodging to work on improving the team’s level.

In total, about 50 sessions were held over 9 months, and the Vermont Cup result was elimination in the top 32 in Tokyo.
We have participated in the tournament three times in the past, but each time we have been unable to advance beyond the best 32.
However, it is precisely because of such a high barrier that the team experiences both the joy and the challenges of training daily toward a single goal, resulting in significant growth for each individual player.
Of course, since this is a team activity, there are times when players can participate in the final match and times when they cannot, but within this activity, there are moments of emotional outbursts that cannot be experienced in the school, as well as an environment of friendly competition with teammates, offering experiences that are rarely found in everyday life.
Next year's activities will begin with a selection meeting scheduled for the end of September, and the new team will start activities from October (planned)!
