[Day 3 Activity Report] France Expedition 2025

The third day of the France expedition has started.

The children have become quite accustomed to life on site and are living comfortably.

I woke up around 6 o'clock, prepared breakfast, and went to the bakery again this morning!!
Today, we chose one type per pair, and since we also had bread sold at French supermarkets
prepared, we ate them together!! The children really liked the authentic French bread and enjoyed it very much.

After that, I had some free time, so I took a walk nearby.
I took a pleasant walk through a neighborhood rich in nature, with large garden houses and horses kept at home—an atmosphere and air that are rarely seen in Tokyo, very clear and refreshing.

After returning from the walk, we visited a local school.
At school, they greeted me with "TOKYO" from the moment I arrived and welcomed me warmly!
At school, we first played soccer together in the schoolyard. From that time, the local children eagerly wanted autographs on paper, clothes, and various other items, and the children were surrounded and very popular!!

After playing in the schoolyard, we were invited to the classroom of children in the same 10-year-old class, where we introduced ourselves and answered prepared questions. We found many common interests, such as favorite soccer players and anime, and sushi was also very popular here!! It was very impressive that the local children listened intently and made reactions while the FC Tokyo Selected Class students were speaking.

Also, at the classroom, FC Tokyo school students prepared origami folding instructions in advance and taught local children how to fold cranes, helmets, and other shapes. Even though communication was difficult, they challenged themselves to convey the instructions through gestures and other means.

After finishing the program in the classroom, we moved to the cafeteria with the local children and had school lunch together.
For this school lunch, everyone moves to the cafeteria, which is a little away from the school. At that time, older students hold hands with the younger children in the U-4 class, and local community members manage traffic to ensure the children can move safely and securely.

The local kids waved their hands even while eating, invited us to eat together, and after finishing, the kids who left earlier waited outside for us. They also asked for autographs, making the children feel like celebrities!!

After lunch, we returned to the lodging for a while and then reviewed the team's strategy for the tournament starting tomorrow, while also watching footage of the training matches held in Japan to align our approach.

After that, we moved to the field for training, and finally played a 12-minute training match with ONE FC MIAMI, owned by former French national team player Matuidi.
We couldn't gain momentum at the start of the match and quickly conceded goals, falling behind 2-0. Gradually, we started moving better and got used to the opponent's pace, allowing us to show our strengths and score one goal back. However, the match ended as it was, and the training match finished 1-2.

We will thoroughly review and utilize the issues identified, such as how to start the match, in preparation for tomorrow's main event.

For dinner, I went to Coco's house again, and she made taco rice for me here.
Since coming here, moving my body with my first rice and training has greatly increased my appetite.
For dessert today, we made crepes again, and Coco's home, where delicious meals are prepared every day, has become a favorite place for the children.

After returning to the dormitory from Coco's house, the children reviewed the day and checked the schedule for tomorrow before going to bed.

The tournament officially starts tomorrow!
The children are motivated to demonstrate the results of the two months of training they undertook before coming to France and today's training match!
