The 24 participating teams are divided into EAST and WEST groups of 12 teams each, and a round-robin tournament (22 matches) is held in a home-and-away format. The champion teams of EAST and WEST earn the right to participate in the Premier League Final.
Also, the bottom two teams ranked 11th and 12th in EAST/WEST will be automatically relegated to the Prince League for the following year.
The top 16 teams in this year’s Prince League (see below for the allocation of slots by region) qualify for the Premier League playoffs, and among the 16 playoff teams, the four victorious teams earn the right to participate in the Premier League for the next year.
