Today, we are pleased to announce that Yuto NAGATOMO, a player belonging to our club, has been selected as a member of the SAMURAI BLUE (Japan national team) for the international friendly matches to be held in the United States in September 2025, as announced by the Japan Football Association (JFA).

“I am honored to have been selected for the Japan national team once again, and it really sharpens my focus.

I have been continuously chosen, but I do not take this for granted. Since I have been selected, I want to firmly keep next year’s World Cup in sight, assess where we currently stand, and do everything I can to contribute back to the team.

Yesterday, Tokyo was able to achieve a come-from-behind victory in a tough battle in the Emperor's Cup. I want to head to America with this good momentum. And I will work hard to connect what I have gained to Tokyo's victories.
