[About the Brazilian Capoeira Association Cohadan de Contas]
The Brazilian Capoeira Association Cohadan de Contas is a Capoeira organization headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Established in 1980, it continues to preserve its own Capoeira while maintaining connections with the great predecessors who have supported Capoeira in Rio.
Currently, activities are expanding not only within Brazil but also in Japan, Paraguay, the Philippines, and Australia. In Japan, activities started in 1998 as the Kohadanji Contas Japan branch.
At that time, while the awareness of Capoeira itself was low, we gradually established the culture of Capoeira in Japanese society not only through the organization's classes but also by holding courses at culture centers, organizing events, and engaging in media activities.
It has now grown into Japan's largest Capoeira group with branches in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama.S, Osaka, Hyogo, Aichi, Nagasaki, and Kumamoto.
