□Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo Comment
"First of all, congratulations on your victory in yesterday's match. We have entered into a wide collaboration agreement with FC Tokyo. This is the first agreement we have made with a professional sports team, although we have previously established agreements with various companies. FC Tokyo, as a community-oriented J-League club for the citizens, has greatly contributed to the healthy development of children and the revitalization of local communities. Additionally, through the experience of blind soccer and the dissemination of message videos from HTT, you have cooperated with various initiatives in Tokyo, and I would like to express my gratitude once again. The structure of society and people's values are undergoing significant changes. A shift in policies that reflect the perspective of the citizens is essential. In that sense, collaboration with diverse community stakeholders is indispensable. This time, we have also received proposals for disaster prevention and reduction awareness, as well as the holding of exercise classes aimed at nursing care and frailty prevention. These are wonderful proposals, and together with everyone at FC Tokyo, we can envision elderly individuals engaging in physical activities, which will bring positive effects in various ways. This is truly a wide collaboration, and I feel reassured about our cooperation in a broad range of fields. Moving forward, with the various strengths that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government possesses and the many messages that FC Tokyo can convey through sports, I hope that we can engage in various activities together through this wide collaboration agreement. I look forward to further collaboration from this opportunity."

□Shigeya Kawagishi, President and CEO of Tokyo Football Club, Comment
"Tokyo is the capital of Japan and also a major city in the world, and for us at FC Tokyo, it is our hometown. Therefore, I am very pleased that we have been able to conclude this wide collaboration agreement in this way. I would like to express my gratitude once again to Governor Koike and all the relevant departments involved in this agreement. The J-League promotes community engagement as a principle, and FC Tokyo has been advancing under the motto of being 'a club for the citizens' based on that principle, celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. Our collaboration with Tokyo Metropolitan Government is extensive, and last year we worked together on more than 20 initiatives, addressing various social issues and changing needs in the capital, Tokyo. I am pleased that by concluding this wide collaboration agreement, we can deepen our efforts with the city in even broader areas. I feel that the power of sports is very significant. As FC Tokyo, we want to enrich the lives of the citizens through the power of sports, and I believe that is our mission. Taking this wide collaboration agreement as an opportunity, we will deepen our relationship with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and continue to engage in various initiatives. Thank you for your continued support."

□Masato MORISHIGE 2023 Season FC Tokyo Captain Comment
"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who cooperated in the conclusion of this agreement. FC Tokyo has been involved in many hometown activities so far. We players have actually gone to elementary schools to play soccer with the children, eat school lunches, and convey what we have learned through sports to the children, engaging in various activities in the community. I am very pleased that these various activities have led to the conclusion of this agreement. I have personally felt the greatness of sports again, especially with last year's World Cup and the recent WBC. Yuto NAGATOMO performed well in the World Cup, and currently, Kashif BANGNAGANDE is fighting as a member of the Japan national team, and I believe that the success of FC Tokyo players will bring joy to the local community. From here, as a professional sports team in Tokyo, I want to cooperate in various ways for the citizens of Tokyo and strive to achieve even more success."
