□Reason for Penalty (From J.League Disciplinary Committee)
On September 22, 2021 (Wed), in the match of the 32nd round of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League (FC Tokyo vs Nagoya Grampus), player Leandro was ordered to leave the field by the referee.
(Public Corporation) The Japan Football Association has deliberated in accordance with the disciplinary criteria for competitions and tournaments, and as a result, the act of striking the opponent's face area with excessive force using the right arm during a contest is considered a highly dangerous act that could threaten the opponent's playing career. It is deemed to correspond to Article 2-2, "Assault or Threats against Players and Provocative Acts towards the General Public," and therefore, a suspension of two matches is imposed.
Furthermore, regarding the same player, in the match between FC Tokyo and Sagan Tosu on August 1, 2020, in the 8th round of the 2020 Meiji Yasuda J1 League, there was a play where the player used his hand or elbow near the opponent's face. The disciplinary committee issued a strong warning, and in addition, in the match between FC Tokyo and Gamba Osaka on October 10, 2020, in the 21st round, there was an extremely malicious and dangerous act where the player intentionally struck the opponent's face while running alongside the opponent. As a result, the disciplinary committee imposed a 3-match suspension and a fine of 300,000 yen. However, considering that the player's behavior this time is a repetition of the same type of violation as last year, it is deemed to correspond to Article 11 of the Japan Football Association's disciplinary regulations [Aggravation due to repeated violations], and a 1-match suspension is imposed, along with the aforementioned 3-match suspension and fine of 300,000 yen.
