FC Tokyo Players Association visited Tomioka First Elementary School and Tomioka Second Elementary School in Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture on September 17, 2019 (Tue).
The 8 participating players spent about 2 hours interacting with elementary school children on the school grounds, engaging in physical activities and eating lunch together, creating a fun and enjoyable exchange.
In the afternoon of the same day, we visited the areas that were actually affected by the disaster. The players who visited the site were able to see the current state of recovery and once again realize the extent of the damage.
Furthermore, the recovery support activities by FC Tokyo players' association will be the second implementation since the soccer school in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture in 2014.

□Comments from Participating Players (Excerpt)
・Kiichi YAJIMA, President
"I am really glad that we were able to visit elementary schools as part of the FC Tokyo Players Association's support activities for recovery. It was great to see everyone genuinely enjoying themselves. This time, we received a lot of energy and courage from the children. As a players' association, we would like to continue such activities."
・Yojiro TAKAHAGI player (from Fukushima Prefecture)
"The children in Tomioka Town were even brighter and more energetic than I had imagined, so I was truly relieved. I thought that most areas would have been rebuilt after about 8 years since the earthquake and tsunami, but there are still places that have not been touched. We, as players, of course, want fans and supporters to know about this current situation and to spread the word in various situations to various people."
