【Player/Coach Comments】
"Shoya NAKAJIMA"
(It was a tough result with 0-2.)
"We need to reflect on today's game and prepare for the next one. I want to watch the game footage and identify areas that need improvement."
(Nakajima showed scenes of actively attacking with dribbles.)
"If the opponent approached, I could pass to my teammate or play flexibly. However, I wish I could have played faster and I am frustrated that I couldn't make better plays."
(There is a Levain Cup in 2 days. What should we do as a team?)
"It is very embarrassing and unacceptable for an attacking player to not score a single goal in 90 minutes. We absolutely need to improve in that aspect, and I believe we can improve next time."
"Peter UTAKA"
(There were many opportunities, but we couldn't score)
"I think the problem with today's game and the previous league match is that we couldn't score. We were able to create many chances, but in soccer, scoring is everything, so in that regard, the opponent was better today."
(Did Okubo (Yoshito) player substitute and increase the attacking role?)
"First of all, Okubo (Yoshito) player is a very important presence for FC Tokyo. Unfortunately, he had to be substituted today, so we had to change our way of playing. However, Nagai player who came in as a substitute gave his all, and I think the only thing that was really lacking today was goals."
"Press Conference Summary by Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA"
"Fans and supporters came all the way to the away game in the rain, but I am very disappointed and frustrated that we couldn't deliver a good result. Conceding a goal early on increased Júbilo's momentum, and not being able to score from there had a big impact later on. I reflect on the clear moments when Adailton's crosses were successful and when we couldn't defend against counterattacks. I think it is important to figure out how to face soccer with confidence together with the players. I want to prepare for the next game as a team."
"Q&A"
Q: How is the condition of Yoshito OKUBO?
"I twisted my foot a little and got caught in the grass, so the pain is quite strong. I won't know for sure until I get it checked, but it might take some time."
"Iwata - Manager Hiroshi NANAMI's Press Conference Summary"
"The opening goal in the 11th minute was a scene where the strong points of the players inside were showcased through very good buildup and breakdown. It was a good start. However, until halftime and up until Adailton hit the bar with a shot at the beginning of the second half, it was a very tough period. We were exploited on the flanks and particularly in the vertical passes, where (Peter) UTAKA created some dangerous situations. The fact that we ended up receiving there is a point of reflection, but conversely, being able to defend tenaciously there was a key to our victory. With Yu OKUBO injured and out, we couldn't fully manage the dynamism of Nagai, which might have been a reason for our disadvantage during that period. Additionally, by scoring the second goal, we were able to create time on the sides and with (Shunsuke) Nakamura, leading to ideas for both the receiver and the passer, and changing the distance of the ball without stress. In the last six matches, I said it was a thorny path, but finishing with three wins, two losses, and one draw is everything. Anyway, the players have sufficiently understood their daily conduct and reflections, and have communicated a lot within the mutual relationships, along with the desire to show a good game to the home supporters, which I think has led to very good games continuing. I think it’s okay to be greedy and aim for four or five consecutive wins without stopping here."
"Q&A"
Please evaluate player Kawabe with 2 assists.
"I think we have improved by two or three levels in terms of the driving force and ideas to move forward in attack, as well as accuracy, compared to last season. Today, the head coach of the national team happened to be here, so I had a little chat with him before the game, and I think it would be okay to go (to the national team)."
