INTERVIEW 2024.1.21

2024 CAMP REPORT & INTERVIEW
vol.2 Jája Silva

Today, Kunigami Village is unfortunately cloudy. Despite occasional strong winds, we also worked hard on our second division practice today.

"We want to focus on the details and build our own football, and steadily improve. As coach Peter CKLAMOVSKI commented after practice, "We want to improve our physical strength and play accuracy during this camp." In the morning practice, the players were divided into groups to work on physical strengthening through muscle training."

In the breakdown and possession training in front of the goal, many players were involved in the ball with a small number of touches as a detailed check of the attacking side, and the awareness of building up the attack and supporting was increased.

Afternoon practice continued yesterday with a tactical menu in a general non-public setting. The team shared their goal for attacking as a whole.

After the end of practice, we interviewed player number 70, Jája Silva.

Q, This is the first camp for Jean, who joined Tokyo in the middle of last season. How do you feel about your condition?
A, I am grateful to be able to dedicate myself to the camp in a very good environment. This is my first camp since coming to Japan, and I feel very good myself. I am able to train in good condition.

Q: In the practice matches, there were many plays that showed your good condition.
A, for this campI have been preparing in my own way to approach it in good condition. I also have a feeling that I can improve further from here, and I want to consistently showcase good plays through training.

Q: Do you have any personal goals or areas you want to improve during this camp?
A, both as a team and individually, I want to fully commit to the intense training during the camp period. I am focused on improving my condition and teamwork so that I can be in the best possible shape by the start of the J1 League season.

Q: After joining last season, I don't think it was the season Jaja envisioned. Please tell us again about your feelings and hopes for this season.
A, since I joined midway through last season, it took me some time to get accustomed to the team, and it was a struggle. Although it took a lot of time, my relationships with teammates deepened, and my understanding of Japanese soccer has also grown. This season, I am focused solely on contributing to the team's victories with visible results.
