[FC Tokyo Soccer & Futsal School] Thailand Expedition Report – 5 Days of Experiencing the World and Expanding the Future –
The FC Tokyo Soccer and Futsal School conducted an expedition to Thailand from March 20 to 25 with 17 school students participating.
This expedition was not solely aimed at improving soccer and futsal skills but was carried out with the following objectives in mind.
・To challenge themselves in soccer and futsal in a different environment overseas
・To actually experience the local culture and lifestyle, broadening their horizons
・To gain experience interacting with people beyond national and language barriers
During the expedition, the children spent their days receiving many stimuli in an environment completely different from usual, including participating in tournaments and exchanges with local teams.
At first, the children showed signs of confusion and nervousness, but gradually, many began to initiate conversations on their own and actively try to communicate using gestures and limited words.
On the pitch, while experiencing differences in speed and physicality, they developed an attitude of thinking for themselves and with their teammates about "how to succeed" and taking on challenges. Off the pitch, they naturally learned the importance of cooperating and acting together with their peers.
This five-day experience was an invaluable learning opportunity that went beyond improving soccer skills, fostering the ability to think independently, take action, and strive to understand others.
The expressions on the children’s faces after the expedition clearly showed a sense of accomplishment, confidence, and noticeable growth.
