After a 16-day camp in Okinawa, the team underwent three days of training and practice matches in Tokyo before starting the camp in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture.
The team traveled from Tokyo over half a day, had lunch at the accommodation, and then moved to the training ground. Before training, a welcome ceremony was held by the local community, who kindly provided various local ingredients and other items.
